QPR manager Michael Beale has revisited comments made ruling himself out of the running for the Aston Villa job.
After a sensational start to life as QPR head coach this season, the former Rangers coach saw his name mooted as a potential successor to his old boss Steven Gerrard at Villa Park.
But he moved quickly to shut down those suggestions, insisting there was "no chance" he'd want to move to Villa Park when pressed on the issue.
He also appeared to aim a dig at those running the club by hitting out at their 'model' while saying his loyalty was with Gerrard and his other former colleagues who have lost their roles with the club.
The rather scathing comments caused quite a stir, and the ex-Gers coach took to social media to issue some clarity on his comments - and insisted he wasn't meaning any disrespect.
Beale posted on Twitter: "To clarify.
"AVFC is a wonderful club, I enjoyed my time there and wish them every success in the future.
"The players/staff were a pleasure to work with.
"The 'no chance' comment was in reference to my commitment to QPR and was in no way being disrespectful to anyone at Villa Park."
