MANILA, Philippines — The Office of the Civil Defense has confirmed that death toll from the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Mindanao rose to 19.
The powerful earthquake damaged several buildings, including schools and hospitals.
It also knocked down power to around 864,000 households.
