Robinsons Land says personnel, guests safe

ROBINSONS Land said Monday that its personnel and guests were all safe and accounted for following a magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck Mindanao and parts of the Visayas.

The company made the announcement after launching structural inspections across its properties in affected areas.

In an advisory, the property developer expressed sympathy for communities impacted by the powerful quake.

“Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the devastating 7.8-magnitude earthquake in Mindanao and parts of the Visayas, especially in communities facing loss and casualties,” Robinsons Land said.

The Gokongwei-family-led company said it was closely monitoring developments and was now focused on ensuring the safety of its broader communities.

“While we are relieved to share that all our personnel and guests are safe and accounted for, our focus is now on ensuring the absolute safety of our broader communities,” it said.

Robinsons Land added that its engineering and technical teams would conduct rigorous structural inspections across all properties to assess any possible damage and ensure the continued safety of tenants, customers and employees.

The company said the well-being of its people, customers, partners and neighboring communities remained its highest priority as recovery and assessment efforts continue in affected areas.

The magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck early Monday, prompting building inspections and emergency response measures across parts of Mindanao and the Visayas. Authorities continue to assess the extent of the damage as aftershocks remain possible.

Robinsons Land shares on Monday shed P0.80, or 0.49 percent, to close at P16.82 each.
