Inter Milan great Beppe Bergomi admits Antonio Conte proved him wrong with his Champions League rant last week.
Having turned on his board and his players after defeat at Borussia Dortmund, Conte oversaw victory against Hellas Verona on Saturday - a result Bergomi believes was clearly connected.
He explained, "I had initially considered this output a bit inappropriate, because the club also has worked well, I believe.
"But then I thought that Antonio Conte has 100% of the dressing room in his hand, so it was possible to allow these statements. And we saw this.
"Nicol Barella's reaction was particularly very positive."
Indeed, it was Barella who produced the winner against Verona on Saturday.
