New Celta Vigo midfielder Denis Suarez has taken aim at Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde.
Denis cut all ties with Barca this summer when he was sold to Celta.
The midfielder admits he chose Celta ahead of Valencia, where their coach Marcelino was keen.
He told El Larguero: "Marcelino was constantly calling me to tell me how the situation was. I was willing to give up many things to go to Valencia, but I rejected his offer because they wanted me to give up many more things and raised extra-sport questions.
"I've never been a person who outside the field led a strange life and those who doubted me in that aspect hurt me, it was something that I was not willing to allow."
And on his departure from Barca, Denis added: "Valverde sent me zero messages. Marcelino wished me luck, yes."
