A lucky bettor landed over £15,000 from a £5 accumulator placed on the horse racing action across Newbury and Ripon last Saturday.
The punter, who has not been named, placed the bet with William Hill, and staked £2.50 each way on a four-fold accumulator bet that included the Sprint Handicap and Hungerford Stakes at Newbury as well as the William Hill Supporting MND Silver Handicap and the William Hill/MND Association Great St Wilfrid Handicap.
Rhythm N Hooves, Coppull, Woodstock and Royal Zabeel were the winning horses, at betting odds of 5/1, 15/2, 17/2 and 10/1 respectively. The winnings included a 50% win boost and amounted to a total of £15,399, according to a press release from William Hill.
Speaking on the remarkable win, Lee Phelps, spokesperson for William Hill, said: “It was a brilliant Saturday for one punter who landed all four legs of their accumulator across Newbury and Ripon to secure a brilliant return of over £15,000.
“The final two selections came in two races particularly close to our hearts at Ripon, with Woodstock winning the William Hill Supporting MND Silver Handicap at 17/2 before Royal Zabeel completed the four-fold in the William Hill/MND Association Great St Wilfrid Handicap at 10/1.
“To see both of those races, which highlight our partnership with the Motor Neurone Disease Association, provide the final two winners of a £2.50 each-way four-fold is a fantastic touch. Picking four winners across two competitive cards is no mean feat, and we can only congratulate them on a terrific accumulator.”
