I understand that “Jualan Rahmah” translates to “Rahmah Sales” or “Rahmah Sales Program” in English, referring to Malaysian MADANI government -backed initiatives (part of the Rahmah Umbrella) offering essential goods, food and meals at significant lower, affordable prices (like RM5 or 10-30% off groceries) to help low-income families manage the cost of living. It is aptly implemented by the Ministry of Domestic Trade & Cost of Living with caring retailers, supermarkets & food operators. The Rahmah initiative is not merely a short-term solution to address the cost of living but reflects the government's commitment to ensuring no one is left behind. The Ministry plays a key role in helping the B40 & M40 communities, particularly in rural villages & urban areas to ease cost-of-living pressures.
My family & I joined the public at large at the 3-day (16-18 December 2025) Rahmah MADANI Sales programs organized jointly by KPDN & PUSPANITA Kebangsaan in collaboration with MYDIN, AEON Big, KOHIRAH, NEKMAT and Farmers Association Board at the premises of Dewan De' Seri Endon, Puspanitapuri in Putrajaya. It was graced by Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, Chief Secretary to the Government (KSN) who is also Puspanita Advisor.
“Back to School, Back with Cool” was the official theme for this 3-day Sales of Rahmah MADANI Program 2025 at Puaspanitapuri. The event aimed to reduce the financial burden on families preparing for the 2026 school season. Sales of school uniforms, bags, shoes, and stationery items at discounted rates with basic necessities like chicken, eggs, rice, and cooking oil were sold at 10% to 30% below market rates. Awards presentation of contributions to school students. The future of Madani Rahmah sales initiatives involves a significant expansion in frequency & reach focusing on long-term sustainability.
