Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson was clear before Ronda Rousey’s fight with Gina Carano that he was not supporting the former UFC champion.
The UFC legend said he was never a fan of Rousey, claimed she was “too arrogant” and suggested she had not been nice to staff behind the scenes.
Yet his tone appeared to change before MVP’s Netflix card last Saturday. After meeting ‘Rowdy’ on Friday, Jackson sounded far more measured about his previous comments.
Rampage Jackson softens stance after Ronda Rousey meeting

During his livestream last Friday, Jackson met Rousey and shared a warm interaction with her. The mood looked friendly, with the former UFC light heavyweight champion all smiles as they spoke.
After she left, he addressed his earlier criticism of the 39-year-old MMA legend. His explanation sounded more like loyalty to Carano than real personal anger.
“I haven’t met her. Well I hope she hasn’t been seeing my stuff on what I was saying about her, cause I’m friends with Gina Carano,” Jackson said.
“You know, when you’re friends with somebody… It’s nothing against Ronda.”
Ronda Rousey quickly proves class against Gina Carano
Yesterday Rousey delivered the kind of performance that made the pre-fight debate feel almost secondary. She submitted Carano quickly with an arm lock in the main event.
The result was not a major shock once the fight started. ‘Rowdy’ is younger, has far more elite MMA experience and spent less time inactive.
Carano’s comeback carried huge nostalgia, but Rousey’s grappling advantage was always the clearest technical gap. Once she found the opening, the finish arrived almost immediately.
