Berlin (dpa) - Union Berlin midfielder Rani Khedira was included in Tunisia's squad on Friday for the World Cup.

He is one of three Bundesliga players in coach Sabri Lamouchi's 26-man squad, alongside Ismael Gharbi of Augsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt's Ellyes Skhiri.

Elias Saad of second-division club Hannover is also in the squad.

Khedira decided only a few weeks ago to switch from Germany to Tunisia to move closer to his dream of playing at a World Cup.

The Stuttgart-born player made his international debut for the Eagles of Carthage at the end of March.

His brother Sami won the World Cup with Germany in 2014.

Tunisia compete in Group F against Sweden, Japan and the Netherlands in North America in June.
