Kota Kinabalu: A barber was jailed 13 years and ordered given a stroke of the cane for raping his step-niece.
Sessions Court Judge Noor Hafizah Mohd Salim meted out the sentence to the man after ruling that the prosecution had proven its case beyond reasonable doubt against the man.
The man was found guilty of raping the 14-year old girl at 11pm in April 2022 at a house in Sepanggar.
He was convicted under Section 376(1) of the Penal Code.
