Eight victims from the 2021 Kelana Jaya LRT collision have filed a lawsuit against Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd and Prasarana Malaysia Bhd on grounds of negligence.
said incident occured on May 24, between two LRT stations; Kampung Baru and KLCC. The impact from the collision had caused numerous commuters onboard to flung, leading to severe injuries and other damages.
To make matters worse, Datuk Seri Tajuddin -who was Prasarana's then non-executive chairman- came under fire for his nonchalant response during a press conference post-incident.
Back to the lawsuit, the victims also called out on the defendants' failure to ensure safety towards LRT users.
