Rapid Rail confirms no Kelana Jaya LRT disruptions, stating train withdrawals are a standard operational and safety protocol to maintain service quality.
KUALA LUMPUR: Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd has clarified that there were no service disruptions on the Kelana Jaya LRT line this morning. The service operated according to its scheduled peak hour intervals.
The company stated that no unusual congestion was observed at stations or on trains. It acknowledged social media references to customer service updates about several trains being withdrawn from service.
Such updates are part of proactive and transparent efforts to inform commuters about operational adjustments in real time. Withdrawing trains is a standard operational and safety procedure.
Trains may be temporarily taken out of service for minor repairs, including air-conditioning or other system issues. This is done to ensure the comfort, safety, and quality of service for passengers are always maintained.
The company implements mitigation measures each time a train is withdrawn. This includes deploying a replacement train if necessary to maintain peak-hour headway frequencies.
Rapid Rail stressed that transparency in operations should not be interpreted as a service disruption. It remains committed to ensuring safe, trusted, and efficient operations.
The company also pledged to continuously disseminate accurate information via its official communication channels. Earlier media reports stated a train at Damai Station was taken out of service due to technical issues.
Rapid KL confirmed the move did not affect its overall operations.
