INEOS chief Sir Jim Ratcliffe's deal to buy 25 per cent of Manchester United is closing in on a conclusion.
The Red Devils have been in limbo over the past few months, as Ratcliffe negotiates with the Glazer family.
The billionaire is set to pay 1.25 billion to get a significant stake in the Old Trafford club.
Per The Times, Ratcliffe is hoping that everything can be sorted before Christmas.
However, there is a chance the deal may go into the New Year, if all the details cannot be sorted in the coming days.
Ratcliffe and his group will get total sporting control of United when the investment clears.
