Rayo Vallecano coach Francisco was happy after their draw with Brighton.
Francisco is pleased with Rayo's preseason form.
He said, "Another very difficult, competitive game and against a team that we should not forget, last year it was sixth in the Premier. They have forced us a lot to be in the low block, but we knew it was going to happen.
"We have prepared ourselves to reach the end alive in the game and have a chance of winning it. We ended up drawing, which is also good for us for the start of the season. We leave with the feeling that we have a team that will know what to do at all times and that will have a winning mentality in all matches.
"Sometimes, in preseason, we don't give results the importance they have. We've played against high-level rivals like Porto, Panathinaikos, right here in Brighton or the day in Valladolid, which we took a defeat that also helps us learn things that we did not do well.
"We arrived prepared to compete, which is the important thing. Being humble, we have to go to a field that is also difficult, so we will do everything on our part to get 100% out of each one."
