Real Betis coach Manuel Pellegrini says Borja Iglesias deserves his Spain call.
The 29 year-old has scored six goals in six games for Betis and is yet to be capped by La Roja.
However, Borja is in Spain's squad for this week's Nations League qualifiers.
Pellegrini said: "Borja has improved a lot in the construction of the game and in the management of the ball.
"His call to the national team is certainly deserved."
