Real Betis defender Alex Moreno has rejected Nottingham Forest.
The left-back was a key target for the newly promoted Premier League club.
However, he has chosen to remain in Spain, where he is happy and settled.
Moreno, who has been with Betis since 2019, went onto social media to confirm that he had no intention of departing.
"I appreciate the importance of the offer I've received but after reviewing it, Betis and I have decided to continue our journey together," Moreno said.
The 29-year-old was previously thought to be eager to make the move.
According to The Guardian, Forest believed they were close to securing his signature, but he appears to have had a change of heart.
