Real Betis sporting director Antonio Cordon has announced he's set to depart.
Cordon feels he's fulfilled his objectives when initially taking the job.
He announced today: "It is a thoughtful decision, agreed with the family . It is a concern that I had and I transferred it to the club at the time. It is not due to any clash with anyone on the Board of Directors, nor the players, nor the coach... You have to keep things simple and I have always been very discreet.
"I saw myself in all the newspapers and radios, I am not a person who seeks prominence or covers. These are things that happen in life, one understands that perhaps the cycle has ended at Betis and now we are in talks to see how we continue.
It is clear that Betis is above everything. Antonio Cordn is almost nobody for what is the greatness of this club. That is way above me. I came to contribute my grain of sand, which for some will have been less and for others it will have been more. I think I'm happy with my job. I promised that we were going to wake up the giant and we have done it together. It's a very nice goal accomplished."
