Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti admitted some belief after their 2-1 win against Real Sociedad.
The hosts came from an early Ander Barrenetxea goal conceded to win 2-1 via efforts from Fede Valverde and Joselu.
Ancelotti said, "We've conceded goals in three of the five games we've played, and gone behind in them. We have to prevent that from happening because it's hard to get back into the game and you have to make more of an effort, as we saw today. And today it was against a side who play very good football. We managed to do it thanks to the commitment, energy and desire from the team, which has been something that's been seen in all of these games. We're capable of turning up with an intensity that our opponents find difficult to withstand for 90 minutes.
"The first half wasn't bad. We looked to press high up the pitch, but the opposition played a very high defensive line and we had to attack more directly. It was a good game, although the goal we conceded happened in a move that we were expecting. Real Sociedad usually do this and it was discussed before the game. The opposition also have the quality to do this and surprise us. We've got a lot of options in terms of players who can score goals, but we can't concede and go behind in games.
"We lowered the block because we were ahead and I set up a 4-4-2 with Bellingham on the left and then a 4-5-1. We needed to defend well and that's what we did. I'm not worried about playing a low block and playing on the counter. We'll do it when we need to. After 70 minutes we needed to defend and counter-attack."
