Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr has been snubbed by UEFA for their Player of the Season award.
Vini Jr was ignored for the nominees this week, despite an outstanding season.
Real coach Carlo Ancelotti said today: "I haven't realised who they are, but for me Vinicius is one of the best, if not the best. All Real Madrid fans think this, for him this is more than enough. He doesn't need more to motivate himself. Nothing surprises me in football.
"I don't have an explanation of why he's not among the best for UEFA. Everyone knows what he's contributed these last 3 years. At Real Madrid he's the one who has made the most difference. UEFA doesn't matter much, although it's quite rare, but it's not the most important thing."
