The France youth international will initially join Betis Deportivo to replace Nobel Mendy, who is being called up to Betis coach Manuel Pellegrini's senior squad.
Zidane, 18, can play at centre-half and left-back, but has struggled for minutes this season with Alvaro Arbeloa's youth team.
He wants regular action in order to make France's U18 Euros squad this summer.
