Real Sociedad coach Imanol Alguacil spoke his pride in the players after their defeat to PSG on Tuesday.
PSG won 2-1 to reach the Champions League quarterfinals 4-1 on aggregate.
Imanol said: First of all, I want to congratulate the fans because they have really upheld Champions League level today.
"I also want to congratulate my players because even if we have not won the tie, we have competed against one of the best teams in the Champions League.
I am very happy and very proud [of this squad] and we hope it won't be long until we can play in the Champions League again. We are going to do everything we can to play in Europe next season."
