Real Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay has confirmed talks are underway for Dynamo Moscow winger Arsen Zakharyan.
However, he also insists agreement over terms is not yet close.
Aperribay said: "We're still working on it, I can't say much more. If you ask me if it's closed, I'll tell you no. There's still work ahead of us, we'll see if it can be resolved soon,."
He was then asked if, in addition to Zakharyan, another midfielder could arrive.
"I don't think we will incorporate two midfielders, at no time have we considered it, because we have home players like Turrientes, Olasagasti, Urko, Robert Navarro..."
