Introducing another new addition to the realme C series of smartphones – the C100x. This new C100x is aimed towards a more affordable price range, at just RM999. So, what does this phone has to offer and is it actually a good phone? Let’s find out in today’s review.
Battery life
One main highlight of this phone is the battery life. It has a crazy big 8,000mAh battery and through our standardized battery life test, the phone can last for a very long time – 22 hours and 39 minutes to be exact.
It means that this phone can last through a full day’s usage with no problems at all – and that’s great.
Charging speed
As for the charging speed, it comes with a 45W SuperVOOC charger in the box and it can charge from 15% to completion in around 110 minutes. Given that this phone has a massive battery, the charging speed is actually quite okay. The temperature fluctuates a lot, which I’m not particularly sure why – but it’s still below the safety limit.
When we switch over to our USB-PD PPS charger, it’s about the same, actually. The realme C100x still takes around 105 minutes to charge from 15% to completion and the temperature graph is also fluctuating, just like the SuperVOOC charger.
Performance
But what about the performance, you might ask? Well… here’s the thing. The realme C100x is using the Unisoc T7250 chipset. It’s a rather dated chipset and while the phone can still operate smoothly, it’s definitely not going to be good for gaming. Well, maybe PUBG Mobile is still possible since that game is not demanding at all.
Still, if you’re not gaming, this phone is actually just fine. Navigation is okay, using it to browse social media and whatnot is also just fine.
Software
On the software side of things, the realme C100x is still running on realme UI on top of Android 16 now, and I’d say it works pretty much as expected compared to other realme smartphones that we’ve reviewed in the past – so watch this review to know more instead.
I’m not sure if the C100x will also get the update to transition over to ColorOS in the near future – but it’ll not be so soon if it happens.
Screen
As for the screen, the realme C100x comes with a 6.8-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1570×720 pixels and also goes up to 120Hz refresh rate. From our tests, this display can reach 830 nits at most, and down to 1.77 nits minimum. It’s actually a really good range overall, and the color gamut coverage is actually pretty good.
It covers 97.54% of sRGB and 88.76% of DCI-P3, and that offers somewhat vivid colors.
Now, I do have to highlight that the IPS LCD panel used in the realme C100x is not exactly the best. The pixel response time is not good and if I even try to scroll through the settings menu quickly… you can see what happens.
Camera
Now, the camera. Yes, singular because the other camera is actually just a depth sensor. The camera on this phone is… I’d say it certainly has a type of vibe to it. It’s certainly not the best in terms of quality, but it emulates the early 2000s digital camera vibe with its imperfections. I know it’s a weird thing to say, but that’s what’s happening.

Design
And for the design, the realme C100x has a pretty simple design. It is available in two colors – Golden Coast and Deepblue Tides which is what we have. Kinda cool design overall, and the back panel has a rather rough matte finish – making it superbly resistant to fingerprints.
It’s a simple design that works, and I think that’s all that matters.
A few more things to mention
And a few more things to mention about the realme C100x. It has a USB 2.0 port at the bottom alongside an audio jack – that’s rare to see in the year 2026, and it also has a microSD card slot alongside two SIM card slots. Another rare thing to see in 2026.
Should you buy the realme C100x?
Well then, should you buy this realme C100x? I’d say if you really need a phone with superbly long-lasting battery at the price of just RM999, then yes. This battery actually lasts for a long time and it’s just great that we don’t ever have to worry about bringing a power bank. Plus, it can also be quickly charged back up either with the included 45W SuperVOOC charger or any USB-PD PPS charger.
It’s a decent phone for day-to-day usage.
