The realme GT 8 Pro is among the first in Malaysia to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which is combined with its in-house Hyper Vision+ AI co-processor to support up to 120FPS gameplay on most mainstream titles; it is also equipped with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. Heat is managed through a 7000mm² vapor chamber cooling system, and it comes equipped with a combined 7000mAh battery with 120W wired charging, plus the return of 50W wireless charging last seen in realme GT Pro 5.

As part of its pitch that smartphones are too “boring” today, realme touts its switchable camera ‘deco’ design with interchangeable modules secured via a pair of Torx screws. Regardless of which style you choose among circle, square, or robot-shaped camera bump, inside contains a trio of sensors now officially co-branded with Japanese imaging company RICOH, with its RICOH GR series cameras fused into this smartphone’s primary camera. This means you get access to features like classic film-based color profiles as well as preset 28mm/40mm focal lengths once you switch to the dedicated “RICOH GR” mode in the camera app.

For its camera hardware, the main camera is a 50MP Sony IMX906 sensor with a 7P high-transmittance lens, along with a Samsung ISOCELL HP5 200MP sensor on the telephoto lens that includes 3x, 6x, and 12x zoom levels. Finally, the ultrawide lens houses the 50MP OmniVision OV50D sensor, while the front camera is a 32MP unit. Display-wise, it comes with a 6.79-inch AMOLED display with 3136 x 1440 (QHD+) resolution, with 144Hz refresh rate and a typical peak brightness of 1,000 nits, plus 2,000 nits HBM and 7,000 nits HDR peak. Two color options are available, including Diary White and Urban Blue.

Meanwhile, the realme GT 8 Pro Dream Edition, is the same hardware as the standard edition, with design changes made to the external surface and the software. This model is co-branded with Aston Martin’s Formula 1 team, so naturally it features the British marque’s Racing Green and Lime Essence accents, along with a silver emblem on the back, plus a reprofiled back cover dubbed “Aerodynamic Flow Line.” As a special variant, it gets a custom packaging box that differs from the standard design.
