Red Velvet’s sub-unit, Irene and Seulgi, are officially making their way back to Malaysia with a one-night-only concert this September, as part of their Balance 2025 Asia Tour. Ever since the tour was announced in April, anticipation has been steadily building among fans, with many counting down the days to see the pair perform live once again. Now, all the details are out in the open, including ticket prices, venue information, and the exact date, sending excitement to new heights.
Formed in April 2020, the Irene and Seulgi sub-unit quickly established themselves as a powerhouse duo in the K-pop scene. Just three months after their formation, they released their debut EP, Monster, which was met with critical acclaim and immense commercial success. In fact, it went on to become the best-selling album by a female sub-unit in South Korea that year.
However, the story of Irene and Seulgi’s partnership began even earlier. Before debuting with Red Velvet, both idols were members of SR14G — SM Rookies 2014 Girls — a pre-debut training team under SM Entertainment. It was during this time that they performed a cover of Be Natural, a performance that would ultimately pave the way for their official sub-unit debut.

Fast forward to 2025, and the pair have proven they’re far from slowing down. In May this year, they released their second mini album, ‘TILT’, a project perfectly timed to coincide with their upcoming tour, showcasing new tracks and performances that will undoubtedly feature in their live shows.
This concert marks a significant return for Red Velvet members to Malaysian soil, as the full group’s last appearance in the country was back in 2017 during promotions for their ‘ROOKIE’ mini-album.
