The official rednote Xiaohongshu team, together with its official Malaysia partner ATTITUDE IDEOLOGY, hosted Malaysia’s first “Malaysia Creator Meetup” in Kuala Lumpur on 21 August.
The event brought together around 70 Malaysian celebrities, hosts and content creators to learn more about the platform’s latest trends and growth opportunities.
The event adopted a limited-capacity, review-based selection process, with invited participants coming from a variety of content platforms and backgrounds.
It also welcomed creators from different communities and fields, including non-Chinese creators, creating opportunities for cross-cultural exchange and further enriching Malaysia’s rednote creator ecosystem.
Representing the official rednote Xiaohongshu team, Chayne Li, Head of Global Growth, and Mia Liang, Global Creator Growth, were present to share insights into the platform ecosystem, content trends and operational direction.
They also addressed creators’ questions on content creation, traffic mechanisms and future growth opportunities, allowing participants to receive first-hand information directly from the platform.
During the event, Wing Lim, Chief Operating Officer of ATTITUDE IDEOLOGY, announced that ATTITUDE IDEOLOGY had officially become one of rednote Xiaohongshu’s official partners.
Creators who attended the meetup will also automatically join an eight-week Creators Program and receive platform support.
Several Malaysian creators, including “快乐小P” (Little P), “婉婉儿不上班” (Julia), “爱吃的Jiawen” (Jiawen) and “C望你买对_小C” (Irene), were also invited to share their practical experiences on content creation, platform operations, personal positioning and commercial development.
The event concluded with a panel discussion joined by Kien Lim, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of ATTITUDE IDEOLOGY, and Chayne Li, together with the participating creators. The session saw active participation from attendees, with lively discussions and questions from the audience.
Following the successful conclusion of the first “Malaysia Creator Meetup”, ATTITUDE IDEOLOGY and the official rednote Xiaohongshu team will continue to organise more creator engagement activities, providing local creators with further opportunities to connect directly with the platform and better understand the creator ecosystem.
