THE Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) said regional wage boards are proceeding with wage reviews, even as it prepares to roll out three more job fairs before the end of the year, including in areas affected by recent calamities.
Labor Secretary Francis Tolentino said the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards are conducting evaluations and are expected to issue new wage orders within the prescribed review cycle.
Tolentino said the wage-setting process is being carried out in line with the administration’s directive to ensure timely reviews while taking into account prevailing economic conditions.
He also announced that DOLE would expand its “Trabaho Agad” employment facilitation program after recent job fairs posted a placement rate of nearly 38 percent.
