Reinildo is delighted with his first six months at Atletico Madrid.
The wing-back signed for Atletico in January from Lille.
He told AS: "For me, I have to thank everyone, the coach, my teammates for the trust they placed in me to play. I came to be one more and help, I am a person who will always give my all in the field to contribute.
"I am a winger, but now I have been playing as a third centre-back. I am here to help and if the coach trusts me for that position, I will be there to help the team. I want to play, help my teammates and the team to achieve their goals. It's what's important."
Reinildo admits he had several offers in January.
He said: "Yes, luckily I had many offers from all over the world. When they started talking to me about Atlético, I also felt that the club loved me and it was a mutual feeling. One of the two, I wanted, Atleti wanted. I said it had to be here.
"I also loved the possibility of being able to work with (Diego) Simeone. It is a dream for me, I saw him on TV and I liked him a lot as a coach."
