Released Nice goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel is in talks with Anderlecht.
The former Leicester City goalkeeper had been linked with a return to England.
But Foot Mercato reports Schmeichel is very close to joining Anderlecht.
Schmeichel is expected to sign a contract that runs through the season. At Anderlecht he'll join Denmark teammates Thomas Delaney and Kasper Dolberg.
Sports director Jesper Fredberg and coach Brian Riemer are also from Denmark.
Schmeichel managed to play 46 competitive matches for Nice. He kept 13 clean sheets.
