SANDAKAN: The Ministry of Public Works will distribute allocations in stages for the repair of malfunctioning streetlights along 69.5km of federal roads in the district.
The allocation for the first phase is RM60,000, which is 9 per cent of the allocation for the first phase of RM550,000 for Sabah.
According to the annual maintenance funding application submitted by the Sandakan Public Works Department, it requires RM500,000 to fully restore and maintain streetlights throughout the district.
