
KUNAK: Repair works have been completed along the damaged stretch of the Kunak-Tawau federal road from KM5 to KM8.
The repairs were conducted Tuesday afternoon by contractors working from KM5 Simpang Empat through to KM8 near Kampung Kadazan.

His response followed Daily Express’s submission of location details and photographic evidence of the road damage.

Read more The repairs addressed concerns raised by PKR Communication Bureau member Djapri Kudosat, who had previously called on relevant authorities, particularly the appointed maintenance contractor, to address the deteriorating road conditions and hazardous potholes along the federal route.
“Regular monitoring of this route by the contractor is essential,” Djapri said, noting the road’s significance as a key thoroughfare connecting Tawau to Kota Kinabalu, serving countless daily commuters.
Advertisement (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});The issue extends beyond Kunak, according to Persatuan Barisan Pengguna Sabah President Nordin Thani, whose organisation has fielded similar complaints about federal road conditions from various districts including Kudat, Keningau and Kota Kinabalu.
Nordin joined the chorus of voices calling for prompt remedial action on federal roads throughout the State.
