José Mourinho will conduct his first training session at the start of a second term as Real Madrid coach on July 13, sports daily Marca reported on Wednesday.

Mourinho is also not to be formally presented as new coach until next month, the report said.

Real are yet to confirm the return of Mourinho who is to arrive from Portuguese side Benfica.

But the Lisbon club said on Tuesday that Real have agreed to meet Mourinho's €15 million ($17.3 million) release clause and that the coach has given his agreement.

Mourinho's return to the Bernabeu depended on the re-election of Real president Florentino Perez, who wanted him back, which was confirmed on Monday.

Mourinho has reportedly signed a three-year contract at Real where he was in charge 2010-2013, winning one La Liga and one Copa del Rey title at the time.

The reported training start on July 13 would come in the final week of the World Cup and mean that he would most likely not have the full squad led by Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior available.

Mourinho reportedly arrived in Madrid on Tuesday and has informed the team of the training start.

Mourinho follows a brief spell at the helm by Xabi Alonso and an interim term from Alvaro Arbeloa.

Real finished without a trophy a second straight season, coming second behind Barcelona in LaLiga and ousted in the Champions League quarter-finals by Bayern Munich.
