Republican candidate for Colorado governor refuses to say how many people he’s killed

A Republican candidate for Colorado governor has refused to say how many people he has killed.

Victor Marx was questioned by 9News anchor Kyle Clark on a previous claim he made that his stepfather forced him to kill a man at the age of 7.

“Is that the only person you’ve ever killed?” Mr Clark asked, to which Mr Marx, a Marine veteran, fell silent for 10 seconds.

“I would say, as a child, yes, without question, but I've been in other situations where, you know, possibly people - or persons - died as a result of me defending myself in other countries. There's no count on that. There's no photos,” he eventually replied.

Grilled on whether he has killed people as an adult, he responded: “Does it matter?”

Marx is competing against Colorado Sen. Barbara Kirkmeyer and Rep. Scott Bottoms in the GOP primary.
