- He was questioned by 9News anchor Kyle Clark about a previous claim that his stepfather forced him to kill a man when he was seven years old.
- After a 10-second silence, Mr Marx confirmed the childhood killing but added that 'possibly people - or persons - died' as a result of him defending himself in other countries as an adult.
- When asked directly if he had killed people as an adult, the Marine veteran responded by asking, 'Does it matter?'
- Mr Marx is currently competing against Colorado Senator Barbara Kirkmeyer and Representative Scott Bottoms in the GOP primary.
