Kota Kinabalu: Tower B of The Palm Condominium by WSG Group has been completed and is ready for residents to move in.

WSG Group Managing Director Datuk Susan Wong Siew Guen said Tower B has obtained the occupancy certificate (OC) recently and owners can now collect their house keys.

At 18 storeys, she said Tower B has 136 units consisting three bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a built-up area of 1,180 square feet, as well as four penthouses.

She said there are about 30 units still available at Tower B.

“In conjunction with the Malaysia Day celebrations, we are offering 10 per cent discount on the remaining units from now till Sept 30.

“Those who purchase a unit at Tower B can move in immediately,” she said at the key handing over ceremony to couple, Zuraini Ali and Azzailan Slamat, here, Thursday.

The Palm Condominium and Palm Square covers a total area of 25 acres and the development is the company’s third project in Kinarut. Palm Square comprises 72 shoplots while the Palm Condominium, includes five residential towers. At present, Tower A, C and D with 128 units each, as well as Tower B, have been completed. Tower E is expected to be launched in 2024.

The WSG Group’s first foray into Kinarut was its Taman Sungai Wang project, comprising 207 double-storey terrace homes, followed by Rose Garden consisting 400 units of terrace houses and semi-detached houses.

Susan said the company would be launching Rose Avenue Plaza and condominium next year.

She said Kinarut is a thriving township due to its geographical proximity to the State Capital. It’s only 10 minutes’ drive to KK International Airport and 20 minutes’ drive to KK City Centre.

“There are many customers from Kota Kinabalu who patronise the shops at Palm Square. There are a few more up and coming developments in this area due to the potential in Kinarut,” she said.

Construction of Parklane City and Parklane Villa in Papar by the WSG Group are currently in full swing as well.

Susan said many have doubted her decision to develop Benoni Commercial Centre and Benoni Gardens apartment in Papar but the area has now become a vibrant commercial hub.

She said the company has received an increasing interest from potential buyers who want to invest in Benoni, following the possible relocation of Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) to Kimanis and the presence of anchor tenants such as Servay Hypermarket, 10 Star Cinemas and McDonald’s at Parklane City.

Meanwhile, Zuraini, 27, and Azzailan, 29, are excited to move into their new home at Tower B of The Palm Condominium and enjoy the facilities there, such as the swimming pool and gymnasium.

The young couple was married in July last year and welcomed a baby boy four months ago.

The first-home buyers purchased the unit in November last year.

The couple currently live in a rented house near Bongawan and they cannot wait to move into their new home.

“The environment here is very nice and well-maintained. We also feel safe with the presence of security here,” Azzailan said.

Bank Islam Alamesra branch manager Ardi Arifin also visited the units at Tower B for the release of last payment to the developer.

Also present were WSG Group directors Vanessa Wong and Melissa Wong.
