Sir Jim Ratcliffe could buy a minority stake in Manchester United this week.
Ratcliffe is the sole interested party in buying United after rival Sheikh Jassim pulled out yesterday.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports: "Sheikh Jassim's final bid was understood to be almost double than the $3.5B market valuation of #mufc. An extra $1.5B investment was planned too.
"Sir Jim Ratcliffe is now ready to buy 25% of Manchester United in the next days after Sheikh Jassim left the deal.
"Man Utd board will vote on 25% stake bid in the next days. Jim Ratcliffe wants sporting control and future major ownership after initial 25%.
