Sheikh Jassim has dropped his takeover bid of Manchester United.
The Qatari has pulled out of the talks after having a 5bn offer rejected by the Glazer family.
BBC Sport says Sheikh Jassim has now ended his interest in buying the club.
It leaves Sir Jim Ratcliffe as the lone party in talks with the Glazers about buying United. The English billionaire has offered to buy a minority stake.
Sheikh Jassim's camp have always maintained he was only interested in buying the club outright.
