Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk will receive a one-match ban after his red card at Newcastle on Sunday.
As it was for a non-violent action, the Reds captain will be suspended for the one game against Aston Villa.
With the Reds 1-0 down, Van Dijk was ruled to have caught Newcastle striker Alexander Isak and denied the home side a goalscoring opportunity midway through the first-half.
Liverpool eventually won 2-1 thanks to a late brace from substitute Darwin Nunez.
