However, the offer was not accepted, as Sir Jim Ratcliffe of INEOS is set to secure a 25 percent stake in the team.
Per Sky Sports, Sheikh Jassim is still a United fan and hopes the team enjoys success in the coming years.
However, Qatar will not be reentering the race to buy United, as their bid is now dead.
Despite their desire to own United, the Qataris did not want to be used to raise the asking price.
