The reasons for Micky van de Ven turning down Liverpool has been revealed.
The Dutch youngster has shone for Tottenham after leaving VfL Wolfsburg over the summer.
However, he could easily have chosen Liverpool before signing for Spurs.
The Independent's Miguel Delaney is reporting Van de Ven rejected the Reds over a lack of promises of game time.
Delaney's Reading the Game newsletter reports Liverpool held major interest in the 22-year-old, but could not guarantee a place over Virgil van Dijk or Ibrahima Konate.
