Kota Kinabalu: State Health Director Datuk Dr Asits Sanna said the Department’s present work procedures and logistics equipment will be reviewed and improved to protect the safety and wellbeing of its staff performing home visits throughout the State.
“The Department is always committed to improving the quality of service to the people of Sabah,” he said in a statement here, recently, in response to a viral video depicting the difficult situation faced by community nurses performing home visits to patients’ houses in Sabah’s interiors.
He said the incident was recorded on November 28 by a villager who was also in the boat with the community nurse from the Mandurian Klinik Desa as she made her way across the river to Kg Mangkabusu in Pitas to provide additional treatment to a patient who had recently given birth.
