Kota Kinabalu: Ministries, government departments and agencies have been urged to review the performance of their subsidiaries to see whether they are still relevant in contributing to the State’s success.
State Public Service Director-General Datuk Datu Rosmadi Datu Sulai said, this is in line with Public Service Department’s plan next year to focus on new indicators that are more systematic and could provide big returns to the State’s development.
“Next year, we plan to create new strategic departments to increase the State’s revenue through the exploration of new fields,” he said after officiating the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) Development Plan Initiative Drafting Workshop, here, Tuesday.
“It is timely for any subsidiaries under the State Government that do not perform well to be replaced with new companies that could improve the State’s revenue.”
Meanwhile, more than 100 participants attended the workshop, comprising ministries’ permanent secretaries, department heads, district officers, municipal council presidents, agency heads and SMJ officials.
