
MANILA, Philippines — Former senator Ramon Revilla Jr. arrived at the Sandiganbayan on Tuesday after he surrendered to authorities.
"The decision of my father [...] to voluntarily submit himself to the authorities was a deliberate step to confront the accusations head-on and to affirm his faith in our legal institutions," Cavite 1st District Rep. Jolo Revilla said in a statement.
On Monday, the Sandiganbayan Third Division issued arrest warrants against the former lawmaker and others charged with malversation through falsification.
The Office of the Ombudsman filed the case before the court last Jan. 16 l, 2026 in connection with an alleged ghost project in Pandi, Bulacan.
