Tommy Fleetwood finally got over the line by winning on the PGA Tour in August last year at the Tour Championship.

Fleetwood is at The Masters this week with genuine ambitions of winning and the confidence he has now is all down to his Tour Championship victory.

The 35-year-old Englishman has been one of the most consistent golfers in the world over the past few years, but now is the time for him to step up and win a major championship.

Fleetwood is one of the favorites to win The Masters this week and his game perfectly suits the layout at Augusta National.

The one-time PGA Tour winner is one of the most popular players in the professional game, both with the fans and his fellow players.

It’s hard to think of a more popular winner than him this week.

However, Fleetwood said at The Masters this week that he has been disappointed with his putting throughout the season so far.

Will he be able to find some magic on Augusta’s greens, or will the flat-stick let him down this week?

Rich Beem says if Tommy Fleetwood will win a major championship in 2026

Rich Beem knows Fleetwood very well.

They are very close friends away from the golf course and he is a huge supporter of the 2025 Tour Championship winner.

Beem was a guest in the Sky Sports studio on Wednesday night, and the conversation started around Fleetwood’s chances at Augusta National.

The American was asked if Fleetwood is finally ready to get over the line and win a major this year.

100%, he’s ready, Beem responded.

I think that where he’s at right now with this game, it is probably as complete as he has been quite some time.

Everything about the game is kind of just building up quite nicely.

The one inconsistent factor in his game, the putting, I think, has gotten a lot more reliable.

Something that he knows that he can go ahead and lean back on it if the ball striking’s not there.

But I also think that the ball striking is there, and he can build on that and carry him to a win.

I’d be shocked if he doesn’t win a major this season.

Tommy Fleetwood still has a lot to prove

Beem is hugely confident in Fleetwood’s chances of winning a major.

And that is rather strange when you think about it, given Fleetwood’s track record of just one PGA Tour victory.

Winning a major championship is so much harder than succeeding at the biggest events on the PGA Tour.

Tommy Fleetwood is quite clearly an exceptional golfer but it’s interesting that Rich Beem is so confident in his chances of winning a major this year, given the lack of success he has achieved throughout his career.

The Englishman still has a lot to prove at the highest level of the game.

He needs to get into contention at a major championship and perform to the best of his ability during the final two rounds.

Before he actually wins a major, I don’t think anyone can say they will be shocked if he doesn’t triumph at one of the big four tournaments throughout the year.
