I'm pretty sure that everyone knows about the famous French luxury brand Louis Vuitton, or had at least heard of it. If you have not heard of it, fret not, let me give you a quick download. Louis Vuitton is one of the world’s most iconic luxury fashion houses, known for its high-end leather goods, handbags, luggage, clothing, shoes, accessories, of which handbags are their best selling items today.
Instead of focusing within the luxury fashion industry, they've started diversifying their portfolio, entering F&B and trying to position themselves as a luxury restaurant with their brandname. According to Chinapress, the luxury brand Louis Vuitton recently announced that it will open its first permanent restaurant, “Le Café Louis Vuitton,” in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam District, Seoul, officially entering the culinary world.
According to famous chinese press 163, the restaurant is located inside Louis Vuitton’s Cheongdam flagship store, “Louis Vuitton Maison Seoul,” and has opened on 1st September 2025. Online reservations began on August 18 and have already been fully booked. Specifically mentioned on Louis Vuitton's official website, “Le Café Louis Vuitton” is led by renowned chef Yoon Tae-joon, mainly featuring French cuisine with a Korean twist, offering a unique gourmet experience.

Though it seems more than attractive, the key part is the pricing, which shocks me as a person, yet seems to still be within the majority's affordability. Popular dishes include beef dumplings (priced at 48,000 KRW, approximately RM142), yuzu Caesar salad with chicken (40,000 KRW, around RM118), and pear-shallot sauce (29,000 KRW, about RM86). Notably, the beef dumplings — served three per plate — are stamped with Louis Vuitton’s iconic Monogram pattern, showcasing the brand’s signature fashion elements.

The restaurant space is decorated with various publications, allowing guests to be inspired by art while dining. Through its “Louis Vuitton Culinary Community” initiative, the brand is also collaborating with renowned chefs in Paris, New York, Tokyo, Milan, and Bangkok to launch innovative dishes that incorporate local flavors.
