Former Eintracht Frankfurt coach Albert Riera wrote a farewell post after being dismissed and lamented that he "faced many issues" and didn't have enough time to work.
"My regret is that I faced many issues during the process that without time, pre-season and new market we all knew at the club that it would be difficult," he wrote on Instagram on Sunday evening.
Frankfurt said they were parting ways with Riera on Sunday, a day after the final Bundesliga matchday. The club ended the season with a 2-2 draw with VfB Stuttgart.
Riera took the job in February and in 14 games, he only managed four wins, while collecting five defeats and five draws.
"I'm leaving with the feeling that I gave my all, in another country where i didn't experienced before, without family and with many nights in the training ground thinking and trying to find solutions how to win so I go in peace but sad knowing that you just use 20% of the power of Albert," the Spanish coach said.
Frankfurt finished the Bundesliga season in eighth and failed to qualify for an European competition.
