LAHAD DATU: Marine police foiled a Crude Palm Oil (CPO) misappropriation syndicate following the discovery of an illegal storage place at Batu 15 along Jalan Lahad Datu-Sandakan.

Sabah Region Four MPF Commander ACP Nazri Ibrahim said they raided a premise and discovered 77,590 kg of CPO during a raid at 12.50pm on July 25.

Seized were two trucks, a van and an oil storage tank estimated worth RM2,287,332.

“Investigation will be carried out under the Regulation 5(1)(b) of Malaysian Palm Oil Board Regulations 2005,” he said.

Mohd Nazri said the marine police was committed in combating smuggling and criminal activities for the safety and wellbeing of the country.

The Marine also welcomes cooperation and information from the public to report any activities that violating the national law.
