
KOTA BELUD: The construction project for the new replacement building of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Kuala Abai here was officially launched Thursday by Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek.
She said the new facility comprises an administration block, an academic block with 12 classrooms, a canteen, toilets and other essential amenities, with a total cost of RM20 million.
“The Madani government places special focus on improving access to education, especially in the interior areas of Sabah and Sarawak, through the implementation of redevelopment projects for dilapidated schools,” she said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Fadhlina noted that as of July, a total of 390 dilapidated school redevelopment projects have been approved in Sabah, with a total allocation exceeding RM6 billion.
Of these, 59.7 per cent have been fully completed, 16.4 per cent are under construction, and 23.8 per cent are at the pre-construction stage.
