
Kota Kinabalu: The State Government continues to strengthen the development of human capital by providing a total allocation of RM474.55 million this year, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
It includes, among others, the provision of scholarships and bursaries, for the development of Islamic religious schools and non-Islamic religious bodies, as well as mission schools, the development and operation of rural libraries and various training and skills courses, he added.
“Indeed, the State Government today cares very much about the aspect of education and will ensure that no one is left out from getting the best education.
“For that reason, since taking the helm of the State leadership, the aspect of human capital, especially related to education, is close to my heart. This is in line with the Government’s aspiration to produce a knowledgeable, skilled and competitive workforce,” he said at the SK Bahang’s Year 6 Perdana, Year 6 Integrated Special

Congratulating all those celebrated at the event, the Chief Minister hoped the students would all be able to improve their readiness to continue their studies in secondary school and beyond to the highest level.
“The journey for knowledge is still far and wide ahead. Therefore, as future leaders, don’t miss the opportunity to continue gaining knowledge and, most importantly, don’t disappoint your parents.
Education is for everyone and deficiency is not an excuse for not being able to achieve your dreams.
“Hopefully one day the students will be able to serve their family, nation and country. Not forgeting the parents who give moral support to their children to continue to succeed. The same goes for the educators who never give up on giving the best education to their students,” he said.
About the appreciation ceremony, Hajiji said it is a very good initiative to give motivation, enthusiasm and memory so that students are always prepared from the psychological aspect, in addition to the intellectual readiness to achieve excellent results.
“Indeed, the field of education in this century is very important and must be able to produce creative students, who can solve problems and who can think critically.
Personally, I fully support this appreciation ceremony and similar events by the school management,” he added.
