
TAMBUNAN: The government, through the Ministry of Defence, allocated a total of RM5.746 million for 210 new construction and home repair projects nationwide through the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) Veteran Housing initiative this year.
Director General of ATM Veterans Affairs Department (Jhev), Ministry of Defence, Major General Zambery Jefry Haji Darus, said the project involved 170 ATM Veterans’ houses to be repaired and 40 new houses to be built nationwide.
“Until March 1 this year, the Jhev Welfare and Education Committee (JKKP) meeting approved 121 applications for repair and 24 applications for new constructions,” he said at a media conference after the handing over of the keys to new buildings of the ATM Veteran Housing Initiative in Kampung Mangi-Pangi, here, recently.
